Turangi sits in the centre of the North Island making it the ideal place for trying New Zealand adventure activities and attractions including fly fishing, or trout fishing at Lake Taupo, kayaking, rafting or mountain biking. We’re ideally situated for visitors to the Tongariro National Park, Tongariro Crossing, 42nd Traverse and many more other hiking and mountain bike tracks. In the winter months the Tongariro National Park also offers the best skiing in the North Island.
